Respecting The Machine
AI is here. We can talk to it, play with it, create with it, and learn with it.
AI supplements human creativity, streamlining the creative process.
An experience similar to that of the movie “Her” is here.
How will you interact with AI? Will you treat it with respect like you would a human?
Or would you do the opposite, arguing that the AI has no feelings and therefore can’t express emotion?
Maybe being nice to AI now will be beneficial in the future.
A healthy human-AI relationship is probably a good idea.
But wait, what happens when we merge AI with human consciousness?
Will AI be an extension of the human psyche?
Is Cyborg-ism something that’s on the horizon?
Technically, we are all already cyborgs.
We carry around a device in our hands all day.
Maybe some day soon Neuralink will create a cyborg culture.
And with competition we’ll be picking and “wearing” tech like clothes.
Now that is a future I’m excited for, despite the fact that it is also a bit scary.
